- Practice: Teach and practice routines and procedures until they become automatic for students.
- Visualize: Use visual aids, such as posters or charts, to reinforce routines and procedures.
- Inconsistency: Be consistent in enforcing rules and consequences to maintain a sense of fairness and predictability.
- Assuming students know the routines: Explicitly teach and demonstrate routines and procedures, and give plenty of chances for practice.
